Dr. Sergio Delgado, CCHMC

Professor at the Department of Psychiatry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati. He is the Medical Director of Outpatient Services and Director of Psychotherapy Services in the department of Psychiatry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

He has championed the importance for the adult and child psychiatrist in training, to learn and understand to persons with learning disabilities, particularly reading disorders.

He teaches regularly on this subject to the residents at UC and CCHMC.

He has been teaching child development, psychotherapy and attachment theory to residents.

Research involves the pharmacological treatment of children and adolescent’s with ADHD, Bipolar Disorders and Anxiety Disorder.

Also has spoken nationally and internationally about attachment theory, Child Psychiatry and the Cinema, Jazz and Psychoanalysis, Use of Magic in hospital consultation with children.

He also is a Supervising and Training Adult and Child Analyst at the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute.
